30-Day Recharging Summer Self-Care Challenge

Spread the love

So you’re taking a break for the summer (a well-deserved one at that), it’s time for you to unwind because you have neglected yourself ENOUGH. I for one am exhausted and in serious need of a deep tissue massage.

I decided to create this challenge at first for myself because I always let the holidays go by without a self-care plan and then wonder why I’m exhausted again when school starts up. Then I had a thought:

Why don’t I share this challenge with my amazing audience?

And so I got to planning and came up with 30 great simple activities that didn’t cost much to do, or took a lot of time, but still helped me prioritize my wellness journey this summer. Thus the 30-Day Summer Self-care Challenge was born! (I tried to look for more catchy names, I swear). This challenge is designed to help you carve out some “me time” every day, even if your schedule is packed.

Each week is organized by fun themes to help you have fun and stay consistent as you go! You’re also going to wanna pin this post so that you can come back and check your days and plan for each week. Will you be joining? Comment #self_care_challenge in the comments!

I strongly advise that you document your journey to track your progress so that at the end of it, you can see how far you’ve come, have a feeling of accomplishment, and see what worked for you and what didn’t. I have created a simple interactive Google Docs workbook for you to help you do this, it’s not complicated at all.

I will also provide you with weekly support and check-ins just to see how you’re doing and get your feedback on how I can make this challenge more fulfilling for you. And don’t worry, whenever you start this challenge is YOUR day one and I’ll still support you each step of the way. You can download your workbook right here:

Now without wasting any of your “you” time, let’s get into the first five days of our challenge, themed “Pamper and Indulge.”

Week 1: Pamper and Indulge

Day 1: At Home Spa Day

Treat yourself to a DIY spa day at home. Pamper your skin with homemade face masks, scrubs, and enjoy a relaxing bath.

Day 2: Movie Night in Bed

Create a cozy movie night setup in your bed and watch your favorite movies with some tasty snacks, or your favourite meals.

Day 3: Create a Panic At the Disco!

Turn up the music and have a dance party in your living room. Let loose and enjoy the moment. Play all your favourite dance hits and have a blast!

Day 4: Reading a Book with Your Favorite R&B Playlist (or whatever music soothes you)

Combine reading with your favorite tunes, I’m a huge R&B head so I literally listen to R&B when I’m doing everything, but please feel free to do what works for you. Find a comfy spot, relax, and get lost in a good book. If you’d like to get into some R&B or just discover some great songs, this Spotify R&B Playlist is BOMB!

Experiment with a new recipe and cook something you wouldn’t normally make. Enjoy the process and the delicious results.
